Meet the passion behind Tray Bien, based in Hanover, NH
Krystyna (North Salem, NY) is an engineering major at Dartmouth concentrating in mechanical engineering, with a minor in astronomy. During her freshman summer, she traveled across the country on the biodiesel-powered Big Green Bus with eleven other Dartmouth students, listening to stories of environmental justice issues. Krystyna was a member of varsity women’s squash and now plays on club tennis. She also loves taking part in the Beekeeping Association at Dartmouth’s Organic Farm.
Shinri (Tokyo, Japan) is an engineering major at Dartmouth concentrating in electrical engineering. When not working on Tray Bien, she serves as the co-captain of the Women’s Club Volleyball team. Last year, she traveled to Peru as a Paganucci Fellow with the Tuck School of Business, serving as a consultant for an NGO specializing in bringing innovative technologies to rural populations. Shinri also enjoys riding around campus on her massive bike, carrying friends on the back.

Sophie (San Francisco, CA) is an engineering major at Dartmouth concentrating in mechanical engineering, with a minor in Human-Centered Design. During her time at Dartmouth, she has upgraded hydropower sites in Rwanda with Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering and studied Arabic and Anthropology in Fez, Morocco. Sophie enjoys making things – anything – and can usually be found at the laser cutter, 3D-printer, or in Thayer School of Engineering’s project lab.

Cecilia (Montgomery, AL) is an engineering and English literature double major with a concentration in Creative Writing. She recently presented a conference paper at the 36th Annual Medieval and Renaissance Forum in Keene, NH, and fell in love with Scotland while studying abroad in Glasgow. Cecilia has wanted to be a novelist since reading Eragon in fifth grade, and spends all her free time at Dartmouth scribbling down stories.
